Valhalla with a Twist of Lethe, and Other Strange Tales Not done yet but each story is just as good as the last. I get sucked in right away and somehow even for a few short pages I am in a different world each time fully realized and amazing.

BKX: Tuskegee It was such a great read! I love how it appearsvto be set in modern times with a historic feel. The way the country is split into multiple nations is brilliant and feels like an accurate portrayal of our current society. I hope there is a part two!

Shadowrun: Shaken (No Job Too Small)

Shadowrun: Shaken (No Job Too Small) I loved Wolf & Raven when it came out, and this had a similar feel and genre, of a "half and half" runner/PI. But this one is so much better [Spoilers] So many things I liked: * The slice of life combined with an ongoing storyline that makes sense? Fantastic * The trope of having to face the old enemy again, and a good explanation for that coincidence? Fantastic. The writing was good enough that the "coincidence" didn't bother me as much as it normall would have, and the payoff on it was phenomenal * Incorporates the best non-corp parts of the SR setting * Made me like Gentry- I saw his entry in SR Anarchy and thought the elf-lover was kind of cringe, but now I kind of want to play him XD It's a lovable cringe...

Hunter Horror Recognition Guide Just a bunch of stories set in the hunter the vigil universe. Could be useful for people who want some ideas for story telling in their campaign, but it wasn't what I was looking for, nor expecting from the description given.

The Cainite Conspiracies Anthology
by Stephen C.
Publisher: Onyx Path Publishing
Date Added: 07/21/2020 15:33:42
The Cainite Conspiracies Anthology I did not find this book to be an enjoyable experience. For some reason, WW-based products have always made fantastic gaming books rich with plot and characters, yet that hasn't translated into compelling novels. I have read a number of them to get at metaplot details not covered in the books, but at best they've been passably entertaining. This short story collection is the same, with the added problem of numerous spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. The reading experience was jarring for all the errors I encountered, and it didn't help that most of the stories just weren't that interesting or well-written. Justin Achili's short story was a nice, nasty little thing. The Salubri story made me very excited, until I made progress in it, and by the end I wish it hadn't been written at all. The Baali story was good, though. The others were bland at best. Would not recommend this collection....

Strange Nations: A Worldbuilding Resource
by Michael T.
Publisher: WMB Saltworks
Date Added: 07/02/2020 08:09:23
Strange Nations: A Worldbuilding Resource The best book on cultures for rpgs I've ever seen. A detailed look at over 20 different and distinctive cultures that will work well in a multitude of fantasy games - high magic, swords & sorcery, etc. No stats, all flavor and mostly human. My only complaint is there is a little/way too much detailed food information. Not very useful. But otherwise a definite must have for world-builders. I hope there is a sequel!

The Art of Conan Sourcebook
by Ben S.
Publisher: Modiphius

The Art of Conan Sourcebook I'm a huge art book fan, having numerous books on my shelves from various Kickstarters and fantasy artists and as art books go this is definitely a high quality work. Though there's no art included that hasn't already been depicted in the previous Conan sourcebooks from Modiphius, most people won't have all their books so it's nice to have access to all the beautiful images for both use in evoking tone in gameplay and also just to enjoy. I do wish that there was an index of all the artists for the individual images rather than just listing all the artists en masse except for the cover artists. But maybe that's just the art fan in me that likes to track down works from artists I enjoy. After seeing how lovely the art is displayed in this book I'm certainly going to try to track it down in hard copy to own as well....

The Art of Conan Sourcebook The Art of Conan Sourcebook is about 120 pages of artwork covering the entire Conan line as of now. I like how at the front of the book is a world map of Conan, so its an easy reference source for your group to use. The artwork is great. If you have any of the books then you already have some of this artwork. To the best of my knowledge the artwork is only from the rpg books and nothing new is added. The book covers the various artists who created the artwork. If you enjoyed the art from the books ad want to see just the art then this book is for you. If you are a gm who likes to show the world and not have to flip through several books, then this book will be helpful as those pictures are all one book....
