Gods in the Gears #1: Acuvelina

Super fun deity! Having a Ragathiel-esque demi-god like this fits the dhampir theme very well. Perfect choice for a divine weapon and servitor. It straddles that line between creepy and hopeful that you want to see in your deity choice.

This class is so great! I'm totally biased because I love the gray maidens, but making this hybrid class the way you did really provides us with one of the best base class experiences for a gray-maiden in PF1. Don't get me wrong, the old vigilante archetype is flavorfully awesome, but if your playing with a group of optimisers you'll want a little more spice and pep, which this class provides without unbalancing the entire system.

Half-hearted Bane is both great word play and a very well balanced (and flavorful) ability.

There was so much content in the book I don't even know where to get started. The Zealot is my favorite option from this book, and the idea of a "spell strike, but with buffs!" is just rad. The thaumaturge is a little less interesting for me, but it accomplishes what it sets out to do without any major errors and I know it'll have an audience. The conversions of 1e (and even 3.5) material were done great, but I feel like the Forsaker, Bloat Mage, and Shield Mages could be expanded out to be entire Infinite products on their own. Honestly, that's really what blows me away the most about this product: It offers so much for only 4.99; it really is a steal given the amount of content it provides.

Thank you so much for your review! When I was writing this, I was really striving for a high-quality product that I was proud to have worked on. The pricing to me is pretty fair! I looked at Secrets of Magic and saw that Paizo only charged $15 for the full PDF. I figured with the same number of classes but significantly less other content, my 55-page PDF shouldn't be close to the 200-page PDF that Paizo releases. After all, their content is official standard content, and mine is a homebrew that not every GM will allow at their table.

Ancestries of Omen: Drakorin PF2

Fantastic product. Very professional layout and the options in this "one" ancestry are so expansive it feels like you're easily getting 5 ancestries worth of options in this one book. Love the kobold/iruxi tie-ins. Some of the options looked a little "too powerful" at first glance, but they were tagged [rare] and weren't over-the-top powerful (like, they were solid and good, but not too strong compared to some other ancestry options we have). I love how you tie ability score into heritage. I love how every type of Lost Omens dragon is an option in the book. And adding elemental damage to unarmed strkes is just dang cool.

Infinite Ancestries: Loamlings of Golarion
Publisher: Paizo
by Dustin K. [Verified Purchaser]

While I expected nothing less than the best from both author and publisher, I was still pleasantly surprised by how good this was. Jacob's artwork is as endearing as ever, and the variety of loamlings depicted is wonderfully inspiring. The ancestry's story and flavor runs the gamut from serious to fun, giving every sort of player something to sink their teeth into. There are some great feats here for "earth elemental" related stuff, which I usually find a "hit or miss". Michael Sayre has managed to hit a great balance given this ancestry comes with a burrow speed (don't worry, GMs, there's limits). The added Golarion lore was executed masterfully.

Ravaged Rover: A Gunslinging Druid Class Archetype
Publisher: Paizo
by Dustin K. [Verified Purchaser]
Date Added: 10/20/2021 00:52:11

A solid idea and execution! A ravager druid looks really fun, and using the orders to make the archetype a versatile one with multiple executions makes this product feel like you can actually do something with this class other than the one or two tricks the author intended.

I'm not a fan of the striped formatting throughout the book, but it does make it easy to differentiate Sasha's books with others in the Infinite program which makes it a successful, albeit bold choice.

Love the idea behind the ancestry, and there's some great ideas for feats here, but I feel like it's just a little bit too weak compared to existing ancestry feats. Like a fifth level feat to turn into someone else you can see is fine, but limiting it to an hour without taking yet another precious ancestry feat? I'm also docking it a star for the minimal flavor and lack of formatting. It's a solid idea, just not the best execution.

Veterans of the hobby might recognize the class, and if you loved the one from Dungeonscape you're going to love this. In short, you get a bunch of archetype feats so you can "dabble" in different class features, and can temporarily be "inspired" to get an even more versatile selection of class features, from trap finding to divine font, a limited number of times per day. It makes for a great "jack of all trades", especially when you don't feel like singing and/or dancing.

Cantrippers: A Card-Pulling Way to Play

Worth every penny; I'm a huge sucker for TCGs in TTRPGs and the idea of the church of Irez selling these "mini-scrolls" is so stylish and fun. It takes a great item from Secrets of Magic that I already wanted to use as treasure in my campaign and just expands it enoguh that you could build an entire character off it! Perfect!

What a delightful story! I'm already a big sucker for the setting (both Lost Omens and a magic academy), and the character's have a fabulous chemistry. I love the expanded cast and can't wait to see more interactions between everyone involved! I'll admit it's been a few years since I've allowed myself to sit and just read a series of fantasy-prose, and I'm so glad to have picked this to restart my habit!

Shadowrun: Street Magic

The book had some really cool inspiration, but the crunchy bits require so much arbitration to even find a semblance of balance that I wonder why it even included stats. Maybe we just happened to pick the most obtusely broken things from the book? Because even by shadowrun standards, they were utterly absurd. But still, the suggestions for different magic traditions was cool!

Grain Into Gold

This book completely inspired a new campaign for me back in Highschool and is consistantly one of the most recommended third party products I find myself showing off to fellow GMs. It can become a little unbalanced if your campaign handwaves things like travel time, item limitations, expiration dates, etc..., but in a dedicated merchant campagin this book becomes your Player's Handbook. The amount of effort that has gone into this masterpiece is nothing short of superhuman. Being able to get this much information for only 7.50 is a bargain. But, like I said, you can't just use this as a side-piece for a normal d20 campaign, or else your players are going to very quickly become more powerful than they should just by buying low and selling high. But when their stocks are at risk of everything from market collapse to banditry? You got yourself an intriguing campaign full of twists and turns that does more than the typical dungeon crawl.

Ton of fun toys here to help sort of "capstone" the 1e system. The product would get a 5-star review from me for the Isekai player template alone. The spelleater familiar is extremely coool. The multi-class archetypes are badass. I would love to write a Chimeraborn NPC. I do think Hardbiner of Fate (Hare) gives too high a bonus to initiative, but that's an easy enough fix and not worth docking a star.

Top quality material in here and totally worth the couple of bucks I tossed at it. I'm a big sucker for the trickster trope/archetype so it was hard for me to resist just putting 5 stars. I am disappointed there was no Second Edition material in the book, but I understand there will be from this point onward. That being said, this is a fabulous product and I'm sure I'll find use for the content if I find myself running a future game still using 1e.

Cool monster. I really appreciate the full-page art for my players when they get strong enough to encounter one. I like how its a lawful evil undead, but isn't necessary a combat encounter...assuming its foci isn't a place the PCs have to explore at the moment. I'm a big sucker for abilities like Flame Hop. Makes for great "tragic backstory" enemies, which are always the most fun to run (and the best undead).
