I really loved this book. There are several short stories, all written reall well and I didn't find any bad typos(something you find in most mayor publications today).

I'd especially recommend this book for storytellers, as it ads a nice background for any possible God-Machine Chronicle. You'll get many ideas from it. I did and my group is going to love it(or more possible: Hate it. But in a good way, you know?)

The God Machine Chronicle aka New World of Darkness 2.0. I've waited for this soo long and now it's finally here.

I just ran through the book and I guess I am ready for a review now ;-).

First of all: Don't use this book as a standalone. It still need the original World of Darkness Rulebook, as it is an update, it isn't intended to use it alone. The book is broken into 5 parts. The first part(as always) is a short story, which really made me shiver. I love those short novels and snippets you get with all nWOD books and this one was really great as well.

The 2nd part was a collection of background for the God Machine, although(again... as always) there isn't a single sollution. Instead the book gives many different idead of what the God Machine could be. Most of them were great and I got at least a dozen different story ideas from just reading that part.

The third part is a mixture of plot ideas of what the God Machine could do and how the PCs could get into that story and how it might be solved. Again I really loved that part. So many ideas... I see a chronicle growing in my head ;).

The 4th part was about characters that could dwell in your storys. I didn't really read that part, but from the snippets I saw it was nice as well :9.

And now for the most important part. The 5th one. It's a big revision of the nWOD ruleset. So many things are broken up and set together that I can't really say if everything is better. But it feels great. Battles have been made much simpler, many rules have been deleted and they even erased the damage roll. All weapons deal leathal damage now. They replaced morality with integrity which seems to be a better system, as it's not so based on an overall moral system, but based on the PC itself. Some PCs just break faster than others. Seems legit.

They even got a new system for experience points, which is much more linar. So there is no point in min-maxing your character anymore, as going from inteligence 4 to 5 needs as many xp points as it would need to go from 1 to 2.

I really loved this book and I am looking forward to use it in action. Thanks White Wolf and The Onyx Path. You resurrected the nWOD. This one is even greater than I imagined.
