I LOVE this book!! It's like 1001 Arabian Nights has come to life in an adventure setting for D&D. Very clear the author spent lots of time on creating fantastic settings and loves the game. Absolutely worth the money!!

Everytime I find something in the pre-writ and go that is a terrible idea or not interesting the companion guide is right there with me going "yep, this is bad design, here's what you can do to make it better!"

I'm just finishing preparing the final Chapter for the campaign and got to the last page to see no goodbye or farewell from the creators so wanted to thank you personally here. Words cannot fathom how great this guide is and how much it has saved my SANITY!!! Just the feeling of having someone else go "what were they thinking when they put this in am right?" is so wonderful to have as a DM because you normally can share those frustrations with your players.

BUY THIS ENTIRE BUNDLE. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! Thank you once again to the creators of this guide, I will be looking to buy your guides for any other pre-writs I run and have already done so for Wild Beyond the Witch Light.

After finally running the finale, I can see that this Trilogy is a good introductory series to newbies, it teaches all 3 aspects of D&D5e Exploration, Social and Combat in each of the adventure.

What I also like here is that the combat is challenging and I feel empowered as a DM to throw these enemies to my players.

Great product! Fun pictures made it easy to get my group to enjoy trinkets! The group likes them so much they dont want to give them up to use as currency in the fey wild adventure. Spell are attatched to the trinket so the players love the items!

Ran it for halloween last year and forgot to review it, but it really helped me to put something together for them really quickly !

Let me tell you it did not go smoothly, but everyone really had fun and a couple told me i managed to scare them pretty bad !!

Some strong positives, but also some negatives. The art, format, and the writing are quite good overall. I enjoyed the dialog, especially the sidekick. HUGE shout out for the write-ups of each combat scene, because there were solid details as to what the baddie(s) would do and when. THAT is so great in a solo adventure. You're already thinking about so many things in a solo. To have to also DM monsters you may or may not be familiar with is not fun, at least to me. So kudos for that.

If the author had gone the extra mile with this module, I think it would have been a grand slam.

These things would have improved it significantly:

1. Hyperlinks. I had to search for each location using the PDF reader's search. Please - hyperlinks!
2. For me personally it was too short. Total of 24 pages including embedded maps and char profiles. Some people will prefer a short run. I wanted a lot more than I got.
3. Some stats on the sidekick sheet appear to be incorrect for 5E rules, at least to my quick look. Didn't do a thorough analaysis, but some revisions might be in order. Made me wonder what else was wrong.
4. At the end, there should have been a writeup about reward and XP. Maybe include some RP stuff in that. Ok, it's a solo so you could give your character whatever you want. But I'd really prefer the module dictate that. It ended too abruptly.
5. Maybe provide the maps as separate graphics files. It's extra work to extract them for a VTT.

6. A few icons to use as tokens in a VTT wouldn't hurt either.

   Would I recommend it? Sure, if after reading the above you don't have a major objection. For the price you can't beat the value, especially with the current sale running. But I sure wish it had gone a little farther.

Note to author: Definitely worth the time to update! A really good foundation.

I’ve run this adventure twice so far and both times were a blast! The only things I really changed was I removed the second encounter, and added a handful of carnival games before they go to the tavern. For my musical theatre friends I added some Little Shop of Horrors references for fun. One of the few one shots I’ve actually managed to run within a 3-4 hour session. Not sure how you’d do it in 2 hours unless your players don’t roleplay, especially if you leave in the middle combat. Would definitely recommend!

I meant to review this a while ago. I used it to publish my first DMsGuild product about 5 months ago. This is simply an AWESOME tool to work with! It's powerful, very broadly useful, feature rich, and has only a small learning curve. Very easy to use if you are at least moderately good with Word. I couldn't have published (easily anyway) without it. Also, the author/publisher easily answered two questions I had. The price is fantastic even at $4.95!! It's on sale as I write this, so it's a steel right now. Don't hesitate, just BUY IT if you are going to publish on DMsGuild.

I have been using the checklists to run WbtW and it has made it SO MUCH before I found this, but this is much better than waht I would have come up with. If you are planning to run WbtW, i highly reccomend this. Pairs great with the Lost Things intro!

After running this module a few times at my local AL, This has become one of my favorite new player friendly modules. Good tactics and a well designed final encounter made it not only easy to run but a welcome change of pace. This module is one anyone should pick up along with the rest of the series.

Ended up running this as a one shot for my Waterdeep campaign when a few of my players couldn't make it. They had a blast navigating all of the traps and even managed to befriend the minotaur instead of fighting it!

Simple and easy to run! The shock and laughter from my players when they finally figured out who they were fighting was amazing.
