I think this is a fine effort. Kudos to the game designers! I know it takes a lot of effort and hard work to put a project of this size together (I put out my own RPG, Challenger, for free as well).
Artifact has a huge amount of world lore. It functions on a d100 percentile system with a combination of skills and attributes much like the Rifts game system.
Also, the designers are obviously top notch at GMing because of the great GM advice and guidelines on running a game. The artwork compliments the work, and the layout of abbreviations and such is nice. This game might be a little tough to understand for beginners, but it's pretty cool looking.
I myself couldn't quite find the explanations for weapon abbreviations, but that could just be me.
For constructive advice, I guess I'd recommend bookmarking the PDF which would compliment the TOC well. I think a Google search might yield some programs/applications to help with this. It's just a thought.
Anyway, I wish the game the best. it takes a lot of effort to put together a project of this size. It's also pretty darn nice of them to put out the PDF for free. Thanks guys, I hope you get a ton of backing and support!
