I'm about to start an Outgunned campaign, and the more I examine the game the more I love it's design and feel. This is the kind of TTRPG I wish I'd written myself: The mechanics are relatively simple, highly playable and capture a sense of action and urgency. Mostly, Outgunned is just plain fun. I have a suspicion it might become my new favourite RPG.

I was thinking of running a “Tiny World” campaign but didn’t know where to start, then i saw this. It’s exactly what i was looking for. The art is gorgeous too.

The System is very good at Bringing the tension to the table. If you want to be in a gun fight while driving the car on a cliff and suddenly have forgotten your extra pistol mag, and now you have to jump on an enemy helicopter to fight bad guys with your fists...this game is for you! At first I was sceptic because I was thinking that you can only play Adrenaline Action Movie based games...BUT this game can be anything! Investigation? sure! Fantasy? No problem! (you will need Action Flickers book) Only advice I can give when you are playing: Don`t hold back! If you want epic - BE EPIC!

This game looks amazing and I feel quite lucky the people of Two Little Mice has decided to publish it outside Italy. The crowdfounding campaign is planned to launch at late-January on Backerkit and I wouldn't miss it if I were you: https://www.backerkit.com/call_to_action/bc091828-cc71-40d9-af27-6009677ec443/landing The setting feels like a cocktail between Kult: Divinity Lost and Aquelarre (this one, for those not familiarized with it, it's an spanish game set in Dark Ages where the myths and folklore creatures are real). Memento Mori describes a hidden reality where all kind of dark creatures and powers inhabit, only accessible by those corrupted by the Black Plague and cursed with The Mark. Such sickness gives you a tainted power that, sooner than later, will consumpt your body and your very Soul. Will you be able to fulfill your Dream before it's too late? Remember you will die...

I enjoy ttrpgs with dark settings and themes. From what I've read so far of the Quickstart, it reminds me equally of elements of Wraith the Oblivion and Vampire the Masquerade. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed version and plan on backing it.

Two Little Mice always pour so much love and attention into their products, and Outgunned is no exception. The system works so well for quick punchy action and adventure! Your players will love creating their characters using the roles and tropes, and the fun definitely won't stop there. Once you get the hang of the system (and this doesn't take long), GMing it is very intuitive. I'm not great at improvisation, but something about the genre and certainly the good game design makes Outgunned very conducive to flying along with the action! Embrace the cheesy action movie one-liners and I guarantee your whole table will have an absolute blast.

Household is awesome! The artwork is stunning, the writing is wonderfully engaging and very well translated from Italian, and it is simply fun! I adore the setting, which supports quite a few different types of stories with ease. You can certainly take a very whimsical approach of course, or dive deep into the political tensions of the Household and play a darker game. Or if mystery and magic is more your thing, you could explore the various contracts with enigmatic Forces. In any case, the system is a lot of fun, and easy to learn! There's something about finding matches on the dice rolls that is just joyful :)

The perfect complement for a (IMHO) perfect game! Action Flicks provides alterrnative rules and settings for Outgunned, so you can recreate epic Hollywood action movie settings not covered by the corebook.

One of the most fascinating settings my friends and I have ever played in. The system works fluidly with how we've imagined the 'feel' but still has enough crunch to make character generation and progression feel weighty. Using the 'historical events' to help build your campaign is such a clever way to plan but leaving plenty of room for on the fly improv. Cant wait for volume 2!

This game is absolutely amazing. Backed it up its Kickstarter campaign and couldn't be happier. Not only its system is fast, agile and easy to learn but also captures perfectly the Hollywood action movies spirit. Furthermore, the art of Daniela is gorgeous. What else can you ask for to a TTRPG?

Extremely fast paced and good system, really gives what it promises, games are quick, fast and easy to run but feel exactly like an action movie should, difficulty is there however and things can get out of control if the group stops thinking during some crucial moments, for those times were roleplay is more relevant there are always a handful of mooks so they can drop the one-liners while throwing dice without thinking.

All in all, this game delivers exactly what it promises.

Dreadful cliché though the expression is, it's suitable for children of all ages. Conceptually reminiscent of 'The Borrowers' and similar tales but very much its own thing; with detailed setting, history and lore that are a pleasure to read for their own sake. The artwork is delightful and really enhances the experience. Can't recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for adventure in a world with just a hint of fairytale about it.

By fair my favorite RPG of the last few years. The setting invokes both whimsy and drama, feeling fantastical and yet grounded in its own way. Somehow it combines the aesthetic atmosphere of both a fairy tale and an historical drama without any strange or awkward juxtaposition between the two genres. Household is an RPG that reads like a book series one may have loved to have grown up with but instead get to act out with their friends at the table. Written in a tone as if penned down by a character in the setting, Household presents itself as a forgotten history of a magical world of the House. While it plays simply and elegantly, I would recommend this book based on writing quality and artwork alone, as it is one of the most immersive RPG rulebooks I have ever come across.

Outgunned Kickstarter campaign

Outgunned is a fast-paced TTRPG that tries to recreate the mechanics of the action movies in our tables. And it does it very successfully IMHO, if I can say.

The Quickstart Guide not only gives us a glimpse of the rules, so we can have an idea of what we can expect to find in the main corebook.(once it is published), but also includes a ready to play One-Shot so we can test them (and taste them) in our tables.

At the moment of writing these lines, the "One Hero Army" Stretch Goal has been unlocked, which will allow to enjoy Outgunned with just 2 persons (a player + the GM), so we can emulate the classic one-hero movie "is all that stands between the bad guys and the world". You know what I mean: John McClain in Die Hard, Jack Bauer in 24 or John Wick in... well, John Wick movie are very good examples. I am sure you know someone who would be very happy to play Outgunned. Well, you don't need a big party anymore to enjoy this game!!

As you would have deducted by now, I have gone all-in with the Kickstarter campaign. 200.000$ and increasing, A LOT of stretch goals unlocked (which means a lot of extra items and content) and a much more surprises yet to come (or so that claim the creators). I can't recommend you to do the same thing as me but I can recommend you, at least, to take a look at such successful Kickstarter campaign. You have the link at the beginning of this review. What could possibly go wrong with that?

I had the strong belief that Broken Compass had the best game mechanics out there... but the masterminds at Two Little Mice succeeded to improve upon it!

The new system, a.k.a. Director's Cut, is as simple and elegant as the Fortune System they had created for Broken Compass, but is even more efficient for hectic cinematic action, encouraging the players to act wreckless.

This Quickstart provides enough rules and a scenario for a quick to set up fast & furious test drive of the game. Once you try it, you can't go back.

I went all in on Kickstarter on Day 1, and I'm looking forward to getting the full gamut, which will sport more detailed rules, pregens, an 80s setting, a campaign, additional settings (sci-fi, swashbuckling,...), and plenty of stuff to enhance the game experience (dice, cards,...).

Get Outgunned: There's no substitute for living action heroes adventures!
