108 Real Towns & Cities with Fantasy-style Names (U.S. + England)
by Kerry H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 12/28/2020 13:28:42

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't really fine this product at all worth a $1. It's a 2 page PDF that is just a list of some town/city names from the US (64 of them in alphabetical by state order) and England (44 of them in alphabetical by county order).

Let's see Maytown, AL? What's fantasy-style about that? Meat Mountain, AK? Hmm, okay, maybe in a gonzo fantasy game. Why, AZ? What? Normal, IL? Seriously? White Castle, LA? Better, but makes me think of hamburgers. Castle Danger, MN? That's actually amusing. Coldwater, MS? Now, that's a good fantasy-style name in my book. Anyhow, YMMV.

Strange Nations: A Worldbuilding Resource
by Michael T. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 07/02/2020 08:09:23

The best book on cultures for rpgs I've ever seen. A detailed look at over 20 different and distinctive cultures that will work well in a multitude of fantasy games - high magic, swords & sorcery, etc.

No stats, all flavor and mostly human.

My only complaint is there is a little/way too much detailed food information. Not very useful.

But otherwise a definite must have for world-builders.

I hope there is a sequel!

108 Bear-Themed Monsters (or Friends)
by Alex W. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 11/16/2019 15:58:20

This is Awesome and I might run Night of 1,000 Bears just to wedge some of these in. My rating is actually something like a 4.7, since there are a few typos etc., but you get what you pay for and this is already more than worth it. You can find stupid bears for comedy campaigns, actually-horrific-if-you-think-about-it bears for horror campaigns, a ready-made bear cult, stealth bears, battle bears, non-bears, drop bears...all the bears you could want on a random table and some you never knew you needed.
