Welcome to the Salt Mine, the secret organization that monitors and manages supernatural activity from its headquarters in the deep mineral deposits underneath Detroit, Michigan, USA. When magic is real, someone has to rein it in. This boxed set contains three Salt Mine novels.

Numbers Game (The Salt Mine Series 22)

It’s Christmas time in Detroit and the A&E Mall is festooned in seasonal cheer, but all is not well beneath the decked halls. The joyous mood is broken by a series of fights, culminating in a hospital stay, and owner Aloysius Hardwick calls in a personal favor from Teresa Martinez—codename Lancer. Unbeknownst to him, she’s on a field sabbatical while recovering from her last mission in Mexico and isn’t quite at one hundred percent. However, Martinez can’t resist the call of fieldwork and she steps in to help.

With one hand tied behind her back, will Martinez be able to get to the bottom of the trouble at the A&E Mall before someone else gets hurt?

Dirty Deeds (The Salt Mine Series 23)

A shakeup at the highest levels of the Ivory Tower leaves everyone wondering about the direction of the Salt Mine’s oppositional organization. Three days later, the annual meeting of the Dawn Club at the Yorkshire estate of Buttercrambe Hall is interrupted by a murder and a magical bomb. Agent David Wilson—codename Fulcrum—is assigned the case.

With two powerful organizations effectively kneecapped in only three days, will it be long before the Mine itself is the target of enemy action?

Going Under (The Salt Mine Series 24)

An earthquake in Japan during the Open Go Championship reproduces a famous game configuration that arouses the concerns of the Japanese public as well as the interest of the Iron Mine. Unfortunately for Kanali Patel, the head of the Iron Mine, the few agents she has are assigned to jobs too important to interrupt so she has to turn to the powerful, but unpredictable, Sukchu Yi, librarian of the Iron Mine. After assessing the situation, Yi feels compelled to call upon the help of an old friend.

David Wilson—codename Fulcrum—joins the team when the tournament lands in Las Vegas and the investigation forces them to follow it as it travels to Europe and eventually to Australia.

In the land down under, can the joint task force ensure the ground beneath everyone’s feet doesn’t give way?

Welcome to The Salt Mine! The exciting new urban fantasy series featuring covert agents who keep a lid on the wild esoteric world of the occult. If you enjoy the TV shows Supernatural, Grimm, Eureka, The Librarians, Warehouse 13, X-Files, Relic Hunter, or Fringe, you'll enjoy the Salt Mine.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
