In Book One, Heir of Sythia...

Raised by frost giants, the time comes for the crown prince of Sythia to claim his throne. The youth, Prince Lucius is escorted towards his destiny by a powerful, legendary wizard named Errimus, who travels with an Elf archer named Rane and half-Elf warrior named Surri. They are hunted by a fearsome class of assassins called the Kyrradi, trained from childhood to kill with stealth and cunning – and led by a warlock called Methiak.

Their journey takes them across several provinces, as they attempt to usurp the throne of Sythia, to reclaim that which belongs to the crown prince Lucius. On the throne of Sythia sits King Jezedi, who murdered the prince’s father nearly twenty years before – and now rules through fear and oppression. The prince, forced to take action and leave his adolescence behind will need to defeat Jezedi and free the people of Sythia from his tyranny.

But, before they can reach him, the king of Sythia unearths a powerful relic – a gauntlet of power. This weapon not only gives Jezedi the ability to use destructive sorcery, but it begins to change him inside. Lucius and his comrades find themselves in a race against time to defeat Jezedi, and they are joined by the Warmaster Orric, who could be a valuable asset against their enemies, or perhaps a greater threat than they can imagine.

Joined by other characters along the way, these comrades face a host of enemies who are just as skilled, determined and resourceful as they. The battles are legendary, and the entire province of Sythia, the center of the Southlands, hangs in the balance. Heir of Sythia is an epic tale filled with humor, adventure, and a sprinkling of romance.

In Book Two, Rise of the Lich Lord...

Orric has aspirations to use a powerful sorceror to conquer the southlands. The unorthodox allegiance starts well, but soon crumbles into treachery. The Warmaster is forced to rally his old allies to help defeat the undead wizard, and restore order to the Southlands.

In Book Three, Dark Reunions

Orric is enlisted by a princess to help her shed a vile curse. However, little does he know he is a pawn in a greater scheme. A warlord with the means to resists death is obsessed with attaining the Warmaster's life force. From the center of this sinister plot, an old enemy rises, and when the dust of epic battles disippates, only the strongest still stand.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
